Taking a Grand Canyon tour from Las Vegas, you'll be passing by Lake Mead, the largest man-made lake and reservoir in the US. Water being accumulated here are the melted snow from Colorado, Wyoming, Utah and New Mexico and is being released through aqueducts to communities in Nevada and Southern California. One can see the "bathtub ring" of the lake due to its low water level.
