St. Maria Lyskirchen is the smallest of the remaining roman churches in Cologne. It was first mentioned in 948 and surprisingly, it only took slight damage during the world wars. That's why you can still see the original frescos and decoration, at least where it wasn't changed to match the current stlye over the centuries.
